Gulf of Mexico (Sept. 3, 2005) — Crew members aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) work together to move a rubber bladder holding 500 gallons of fresh drinking water for transport.
Crash and Salvage crew members aboard amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) move a 500 gallon rubber bladder filled with fresh drinking water for Hurricane Katrina relief efforts throughout the gulf coast.
A U.S. Navy MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter lifts two 500-gallon bladders full of fresh drinking water for transport from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), to those in need on the Gulf Coast. Bataan has been off the Gulf Coast providing relief efforts since Hurricane Katrina hit the coast.
