“The Pinedale Shopping Mall has just been bombed with live turkeys”

This is a classic:
WKRP in Cinncinati was one of my favorite shows as a kid. I guess I better see if it’s still running somewhere so I can TiVo it. Good stuff.

That is hilarious. I am giving thanks for youtube, where I am watching the whole episode right now. My boss here in Poland wondered in the last week or so if WKRP is still as funny as he remembers it. So, we were talking about trying to record some. Send me an email if you find it is still on somewhere.

Thanks for the smile – it’s been a strange day here and I needed a laugh!

Sadly, WKRP doesn’t seem to be on anything on DirecTV. Someone tip me off if I’ve missed something.

The best episode from a series full of great episodes. ‘As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly’ is a part of the American lexicon, even people who don’t know where it came from know that line. WKRP had the best ensemble cast of any show of the era, only the earlier Barney Miller came close. My second fave episode was the one one where a terrorist planted a bomb at the the transmitter shack while Johhny was broadcasting from there. Johnny and Venus pretending to be a gay couple so Johnny could get out of a condo contract was priceless too.
