  My experiences weren’t anywhere near as bad as this, and I’m certainly no genius or prodigy of any sort. Or even a particularly “free spirit” as the term is usually used. But I still more or less agree with the “crushes souls” bit. (However, I must say that “What if your spirit won’t allow you to follow directions?” is absolutely ridiculous. Give me a break.)
