Oh. That’s right.
Glenn Reynolds has a number of quotes and links about the 9/11 families who have criticized the Bush television ads for exploiting the victims of the attacks for political gain.
In case you’ve been relying on the major media for the news, they’re all members of a rather small (as in only a few dozen members, according to the NY Post) organization called “September Eleventh Families for Peaceful Tomorrows”. The group was founded as an anti-war organization and traveled to Afghanistan to protest the overthrow of the Taliban.
Peaceful Tomorrows’ parent group, the San Francisco-based Tides Foundation, has received millions from foundations controlled by Kerry’s heiress wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry.
Let’s say that Laura Bush put together some groups to raise money and donated it to a couple of dozen 9/11 families so they could make a television commercial speaking out in favor of the War on Terror and President Bush.
Think we might hear about that on CNN or in the NYT? We do all the time, actually. Or how about on the new Liberal Radio Network? Okay. Probably not there.
No bias here.
