  1. Actually the entire unit at takeoff is the “shuttle”, the orbiter is what comes back to Earth and lands. Why nobody reports it that way? Dunno.

      1. I’m a nerd for sure, but not just space…haha. The same thing makes me crazy when the media refers to “Machine Guns” a.k.a “Assault Rifles” and “dum dum” bullets.

  2. Finally, the shuttle program delivered much less then promised for much more than announced, including many lives.
