  1. The structures look like Luke Skywalker’s place on Tatooine.

Come to think of it, is there a more wrteched hive of scum and villainy than Afghanistan?

    1. Come to think of it, do we ever learn what “crop” Owen Lars needs all those moisture vaporators for?

      The spice must flow.

  2. Young Corporal Kuiper may well have been in the 6th grade on 9-11.

I wonder whether this is the first American war where sons would be fighting the same war as their fathers?

    1. The U.S. occupied the Philippines from 1898 to 1941 with a very hot insurgency early on that gradually cooled off.

General Arthur MacArthur Jr. was in the Philippines 1899-1902. His son, Douglas went there in 1935 (by then things were fairly quite and the Philippine Constabulary was able to fight off rebel groups without much help).

      1. The american frontier wars went on for some time as well. Also the Revolutionary War was basically a continuation of the off and on war between the French and English/ Papal v. Anglican business.

  3. Love the 458 Socom..I prefer the 450 bushmaster myself..but I guess when uncle sam is paying the bills why not have the super expensive rounds lol.
