OT, but this story is about as insulting as General Casey’s comments following the Ft. Hood massacre. Now a USMC general is suggesting that the stress of fasting during ramadan, coupled with the heat of summer, has lead to a rash of insider attacks by Afghans on their NATO allies.

WASHINGTON – Some recent attacks by uniformed Afghan forces against NATO troops may have been triggered by stress, hunger and dehydration associated with Ramadan fasting that this year fell in the middle of harsh summer weather and the heavy fighting season, the top U.S. military officer in Afghanistan said Thursday.

“I think that the holy month of Ramadan demands great sacrifice of Muslims who observe it,” Marine Gen. John Allen told reporters via video feed from Kabul. “The idea that they will fast during the day places great strain on them.”

    11 Bravo,

Hate to say it but both U.S. Army Gen. George Casey Jr & USMC Gen. John Allen have long records of being Liberal Stooges and are so far up Obummer’s ass they can brush his teeth.

You know as well as I do the military road to stardom is more often than not reached through stroking the “correct” politicians.

Only years of training and iron discipline keep NCO’s and actual combat officers from rolling their eyes every time one of those political Generals speak.
