The temporary bow will allow the SAN FRANCISCO to sail under her own power to a shipyard for permanent repairs.

UPDATE: Strategy Page has a post asking why the mapmakers who failed (for one reason or another) to mark the mount that the SAN FRANCISCO collided with weren’t at fault.
