He was in Iraq for less than three weeks before being killed.
A young Saudi imam, Muhammad Bijad al-Harbi, is reported to have died in Iraq following a gunfight with American forces in the country. The Saudi newspaper Al-Watan said on Monday that the imam, who died a few days ago, was only 27 and was married, but had no children.
Many young Saudis are thought to have travelled to Iraq to join the Jihad, and the newspaper begins the article on al-Harbi’s death saying “the series of killings of Saudis in Iraq continues.”
It will continue as long as they keep heading into Iraq looking to die. He and another Saudi (who was also killed) entered Iraq through via Jordan and Syria. (via FR)
