Now Ward Churchill is promoting fragging

Evil Is As Evil Does

I noted a few weeks back that the term “fragging” seems to hold a certain romanticized meaning for anti-war types, and now Blackfive notes everyone’s favorite moron Ward Churchill saying this:

Would you render the same level of support to someone who hadn’t conscientiously objected, but rather instead rolled a grenade under their line officer in order to neutralize the combat capacity of their unit?… Conscientious objection removes a given piece of cannon fodder from the fray. Fragging an officer has a much more impactful effect.

“Impactful”? Whatever.

I remain convinced that “fragging” is one of those little keywords that makes extreme Lefties feel all warm and fuzzy. They’re longing for the good old days of Vietnam, and they make me sick.

Comments

  1. ‘rather instead’? ‘impactful effect’? What an incoherent jackass! Is it even worth considering whatever message this moron is trying mumble out?

  2. Not that Churchill and his cohort would understand; But, ‘Conscientious Objection’ was once reserved for people who are true pacifists (don’t get me started on the immorality of that philosophy!)such as traditional Quakers. It is a shame that Churchill is trying to misuse this language/idea. For those who are truly pacifists would be appalled by Churchill suggestion!

  3. Hey, say what you want about pacifists but you have to respect Ghandi. Yes, he refused to fight, but he was willing to die to achieve what he believed in, and not pointlessly either. I don’t mind people saying they prefer peace to war. They just need to come up with a rational explanation of how we can achieve said peace which doesn’t actually involve war. When they start spouting ridiculous naieve daydreams instead, or some kind of masochistic unpatriotic hate agenda, then you can write them off as a jackass and move on.

  4. I liked the Civil War practice of dealing with Quakers and other ‘Conscientious Objectors’ – give them medic bags instead of rifles and send them to the front line.

  5. I’m not opposed to ‘pacifists’ as long as they realize that there will always be those who don’t want to play along. Ward Churchill, meanwhile, is no pacifist. It’s the so-called pacifists who preach hate and intolerance that get me, especially the ones who are so obviously motivated by their anti-Conservative agenda. I like to call them the ‘militantly anti-war’, although that tag sometimes applies to people who are not in the anti-Conservative club, too.

  6. Given his expertise with clera concise thinking, and the English language………we can only hope Mr. Churchill will exhibit a similar level of skill when he decides to try his own hand at fragging! LOL! REMEMBER! Once the pin is pulled…….Mr. Grenade is NO ONE’S friend!

  7. Wasn’t Jesus a pacifist. But if you are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. 28Pray for the happiness of those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn the other cheek. If someone demands your coat, offer your shirt also. Give what you have to anyone who asks you for it; and when things are taken away from you, don’t try to get them back. Do for others as you would like them to do for you. 32’Do you think you deserve credit merely for loving those who love you? Even the sinners do that! 33And if you do good only to those who do good to you, is that so wonderful? Even sinners do that much! 34And if you lend money only to those who can repay you, what good is that? Even sinners will lend to their own kind for a full return. 35’Love your enemies! Do good to them! Lend to them! And don’t be concerned that they might not repay. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to the unthankful and to those who are wicked. 36You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.’
