James Rummel of Hell in a Handbasket noticed a little problem with a Defense Tech headline. He contacted them and they considered his message. Since he was right and they are smart folks at Defense Tech, they changed the headline.
Regular readers of MO will know how irritated I get by misleading headlines. This is just one more little example of why “B-Side journalism” is very important to all of us. Because it works and doesn’t answer to multi-corporate, multi-national entities. Excellent work, Mr. Rummel. Excellent work, Defense Tech.
And if you don’t check out Hell in a Handbasket from time to time, you should.
UPDATE: Michael Williams takes the uranium/depleted uranium discussion into some depth. It seems that, although depleted uranium is FAR less of a danger than enriched “weapons-grade” uranium, the process of sheilding the latter from detection isn’t all that much more difficult. Troubling. Check it out.
