Shipmates, Navy grammer note for all posters and bloggers. Ships are referred to by their name, and it is not required to preface it was ‘the’ as in ‘The USS Enterprise’. It’s simply ‘USS Enterprise’ or ‘Enterprise’. Placing a ‘the’ in front of the name is akin to saying ‘the US President George W. Bush’ or saying ‘The CNN reporter Wolf Blitzer’, etc. Anyway, I’ll step off my soapbox now. Sorry if I seem a little officious. It’s not meant that way. Respects, AW1 Tim
