What’s going on over there?

France says thousands dead from heat

3000 dead? How high are these temperatures? Despite constant talk of the heat wave, “Sahara-like” according to the caption in the story, I haven’t seen much in the way of actual temperatures.

I’d be curious to see if Los Angeles, or Atlanta, or Houston has ever had a heat wave statistically similar to this one. And if so, I’d like to see how many people died.

For some reason, I’m thinking there’s more to this than just higher than normal temperatures.

Three thousand.

  1. Why only in France? I’ll tell you. It’s not the HEAT, it’s the SMELL that’s killing people. ***
