Not much time today, but everyone’s favorite Congressman from Pennsylvania is apparently a liar:
He had told The Philadelphia Inquirer that Gen. Michael Hagee had given him the information on which he based his charge that Marines killed innocent civilians.
But a spokesman for the Marine Corps said Hagee briefed Murtha on May 24 about Haditha. Murtha had made comments on the case as early as May 17.
On May 17, for example, he said at a news conference, “Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood.”
A spokeswoman for Murtha was not immediately available.
He’s not on our side, folks. If he was on our side he would err on the side of caution rather than loudly declare guilt for all the TV cameras and then lie lie lie about where he got his info.
A lot of folks have said “well, he has access to information that we don’t, so if he says they’re guilty then he’s probably right”. But if that’s the case, why is he lying about the source of his information?
Not on our side.
I guess we can whip out the poster again. It always seems to get a good reaction:
