Dumbest thing I’ve heard all year

This was published last week, but I didn’t see it until Greyhawk pointed it out at Milblogs: Death toll of female troops ‘troubling’.

The Washington Times:

The number of military service women killed in Iraq and Afghanistan has reached 70, more than the total from the Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm wars.

“Some have argued that the women who have died are no different than the men,” according to a report noting the 70 casualties from the Center for Military Readiness, which opposes women in combat. “But deliberate exposure of women to combat violence in war is tantamount to acceptance of violence against women in general.” [emphasis Murdoc’s]

Now, Murdoc isn’t necessarily the biggest supporter of female combat troops in the world, but this is statement is just baloney.

Comments

  1. Hey, standard ‘We want it both ways!’ If you don’t want female troops in front-line combat units, you’re a sexist bigot who HATES WOMYN! If you put female troops in front-line units and they get killed/injured, you’re ACCEPTING VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN! What would you expect from the clowns?

  2. They are weaker and dumber. Those smart enough to realize this stay out of the armed forces, which have become just one more social experiment gone awry.

  3. All I can say is DUHHHA! The ‘things’ people think are relevant to the ‘Big Picture’ amaze me. Interesting find – Thanks.

  4. Women should really stay out of the military. Just think, if there were more women in the military then the GPS system would never of been invented. Why spend billions to find out where you are, just ask somebody for directions.

  5. They are weaker and dumber. Those smart enough to realize this stay out of the armed forces, which have become just one more social experiment gone awry. Did John Kerry imply that about ALL the members of the Armed Forces, Dfens?
