Swedish army Pvt. Johan Lindgvist leads a CV90-40C tank out of a simulated forward deployed location at the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, Calif., Sept. 12, 2007, during exercise Bold Quest. MO, I wonder if young Pvt Lindgvist was able to at least glimpse downtown Las Vegas before he wound up in downtown Nowhere.
So what role do the Swedes play? Neutral targets?
MO, thanks for putting a thread on the CV-90. Actually the picture shown is not the tank version but rather the IFV. It is equipped with a 40 mm gun and carries more dismounts than a Bradley. They do have a version of this with a 120mm gun that functions as a light tank. I really like this vehicle and it is amazing at how many variants exist. Here are some good youtube clips. http://youtube.com/watch?v=ydk_w5toWnU http://youtube.com/watch?v=HAsR7m1wXM0 The last vid shows a bradley getting stuck in the snow while the cv-90 pushes through.
Looks cool. Any chance we can get them into the fight for freedom?
If the Swedes want to fight for freedom against radical Islam, they should start in Sweden now.
