Number Nine, Number Nine

Big Government Plunges Deeper into The Abyss

According to Rasmussen Reports, the Big Government Democrat Congress has charted the lowest approval ratings ever in U.S. history. Only 9 percent–that’s right, just 9 people out of every 100 Americans–approve of the job that the House of Representatives and the Senate are doing.

Which, of course, is not surprising. Congress has proven itself completely inadequate to address the massive problems Americans are facing everyday at the gas pump, at the grocery store, and in their own homes. In fact, Congress’ only “solution” seems to be to find a way to make things worse.

Down from 11% “good” or “excellent” last month. No wonder the Democrats are expected to increase their lead in Congress this fall.

  1. the Big Government Democrat Congress has charted the lowest approval ratings ever in U.S. history I hope republicans are not feeling good about this poll, because it will not end up helping us at all. I bet John Q. Public is putting more blame on the Big Government Republicans than the democrats. The public is fed up with the last 8 years of which the big government republicans controlled 6. How do I know this? Just watch the elections in November. The democrats will probably increase their margins in the House and Senate. If the john q. public really had a 9% approval of congressional democrats, this would not happen. That’s what makes this poll immaterial, unless you are a republican and are going to get caught up in the whole ‘vote for change’ thing.

  2. Congress has not ‘proven itself completely inadequate to address the massive problems Americans are facing.’ They have CAUSED most of them and are now making them worse. No domestic drilling or refining of oil. Tax breaks for SUV’s as ‘farm vehicles.’ Hugely wasteful ethanol subsidies and mandates that make both gas and food more expensive. Proposed Carbon rules that will make $4 gas a fond memory. No movement on nuclear plants or finishing the Yucca Mountain facility. Sky high personal and corporate taxes that destroy wealth and chase away investment. Open betrayal of a President during wartime. Billions in wasteful spending motivated by unconcealed corruption (yes you Sen. Dodd). The surprise is that they aren’t lynched by angry townspeople when they return to their districts.
