The developments surrounding the attack on a Colonel’s tent in the 101st Airborne rear elements remaining in Kuwait are incredibly troubling. This is not just any attack against some of our troops. Right now we’re all disoriented by the fog of war, but if this US soldier they’re questioning really turns out to be a Muslim American and is really the one of the attackers, or assisted them in any way, there are going to be SERIOUS repercussions. I don’t want to be one of those making knee-jerk reactions, but does anyone remember the FBI agent who flat-out REFUSED to follow orders to wear a wire when meeting with a suspected terrorist? He’s a Muslim American. This event could end up having more significance that the war itself. I don’t think I’m exaggerating.

Update 15:41 23 Mar 2003

Now the story is that the alleged US attacker was upset over not being allowed to accompany the rest of his unit into Iraq. Fog of war, blah, blah, blah, but this smells like a cover-up to me.
