A couple of years ago, I posted a bit about my son’s USS Nimitz pinewood derby racer (inspired by The Final Countdown movie) and now a reader has sent in pictures of his son’s two pinewood warships:

I love that they modeled one of them in the process of taking off too.
Well, back in the early 90′s when I was a cub scout everyone I knew was focused on building a pinewood that acutally competed to win. Now it’s turned into an art class.
