Illegal use of hands

Former Military Blogger charged with tackling Pats linebacker Junior Seau

Todd Kobus, who used to blog at lostiniraq.com, was arrested for tackling Junior Seau during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. Not only did Todd leap over a seven foot wall, but he tackled one of the toughest NFL players in the league. If you ask me, Todd is pretty hardcore but not the sharpest tool in the box.

Apparently, our idiot-in-residence was also pasted in the head by a snowball as police were escorting him out. From his expression, and the whole incident in toto, I have no doubt that alcohol had a majority stake in this behaviour.

It was stated in comments at the Herald that this fellow suffers from PTSD. That may be, but it normally doesn’t manifest itself in actions where a dude tackles another dude while screaming “I love you man!”

Although it might have seemed a good idea at the time, it’s not such a great plan when the beer goggles are off.

Thing is, if he was using someone else’s season ticket for this game, it’s likely that the owner has been taken off the season ticket holder list and his final tickets refunded to him. With a waiting line of over 50,000 the Patriots don’t mess around with unruly fans. For the last several years, they have had an iron-clad policy which is given in writing to every season ticket holder that unruly or detrimental behaviour is grounds for termination of a season ticket holder’s tickets and contracts, and it’s been upheld by the local courts too.

Having said all this, our intrepid friend is lucky he wasn’t killed before the cops get there. Junior is a BIG man who has a wicked sense of humour, but doesn’t take crap lightly. :)

    respects,

    Oh, BTW,

Rumour on the Patriots Forums has it that the Cardinals front office was talking about bringing Kobus in for a tryout, since he seemed to be the only one able to tackle a Patriots player that day….. :)

All he has to do is blame bushcheneyhalliburton, and no jury in Boston will convict.

But I sure hope he accepts the responsibility himself….
