Now that’s a silly question

Is dissent still patriotic?

No, but it’s probably racist. We’ll see, but I continue to fear that race relations may be set back quite a bit during the next few years. I hope I’m wrong.

Meanwhile: “I pledge to be a servant to our President…”

Next week: The director’s cut with the big “Kumbaya” scene restored…

  1. I thought we weren’t supposed to care about a person’s race – the colour of their skin is irrelevant, right? – but I keep hearing how “historic” Obama’s presidency is. It’s odd. Maybe they just mean it’s historic in the sense that any presidency is – that it affects history. But did they say that about Bush?

  2. 1st thought

    TeH BORG!! AIiiieeeeee!

    2nd thought,

Servitude to the President is a bit much. There is no reason we can change the world to suite via our preferred NGO.

  3. I didn’t pledge to be a servant of George W Bush why would I do so for Obama – I’m a FREE man thank-you-very-much. And live in a free country and I’ll fight to keep it that way.

Whatever happened to the President and our elected officials being servants of the people bound by the Constitution?

President Obama will get the same kind of support from me that Bush did – Support when he is right, opposition when he is wrong. He just hasn’t given me much HOPE that he’ll be right very often. But maybe HE will CHANGE. I can only pray.

  4. Servant by another name is “SLAVE”!

    BY THE WAY:

Obama blows off Medal of Honor recipients

    January 21st, 2009

According to informed sources who were at the “Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball”, this newly sworn-in President for the first time in 56 years blew off the ball (that’s 14 Inaugurations).
    Some background on the ball;
The American Legion sponsors the ball, which recognizes recipients of Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military award. It started in 1953 for President Dwight D. Eisenhower’s first inauguration.
Event co-sponsors include 13 other veteran’s service organizations, among them the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

  5. I promise to give this administration the same respect and support that George Bush received from the left.

  6. soooooo what happened to serving the nation?
@ Nicholas, the only reason race is brought up because it apparently means anyone can do anything they want and nobody liberal knew that apparently, and that white people are free to do anything and we non-whites are excluded and are stuck with second standards, although you get a second standard when your black, the standard exists only when you let it, affirmative action anyone?

  7. @ Bram – Nonsense; the left blamed Bush for everything under the sun. Blamed him for things that were not wrong or that he was not responsible for. In fact I can’t recall offhand a left-wing criticism of Bush that was true.

However the criticism that you will be giving Obama these next four years will no doubt be 100% accurate. And that’s no joke.
