(Via Instapundit): Iran says Obama’s offer to talk shows US failure

US President Barack Obama’s offer to talk to Iran shows that America’s policy of “domination” has failed, the government spokesman said on Saturday.

“This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed,” Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

So the hope and change team thinks they’re extending the olive branch in hopes of a group hug. The enemy thinks we’re surrendering.

  1. Er… no, they don’t think you’re surrendering, unless they thought that there was a US goal of world domination and that you’ve been forced to give up on it. If they thought it was just a policy, even if they were mistaken about the policy they wouldn’t read a policy change as surrender if it kept the same underlyiung goals.

  2. Nowhere in the Islam religion is there anything to do with giving a truce… only for recooperation and to get ready to retaliate can one have a truce. Why is it so difficult for people to realise that they just wont ever give up?
