Didn’t They Used to Call Those …
Tongue Tied notes a New York state middle school that has put a tree up and covered it with decorations and ornaments.
But it is not a Christmas tree, says teacher Debbie Smith. It is a “diversity tree” and is decorated with ornaments celebrating the world’s cultural, ethnic, and religious differences.
You know, in a lot of countries you could get in trouble for doing that. And doesn’t the mere presence of a Christmas tree with all of those ornaments on state property imply official endorsement of all those “cultures?”
