We'd make cracks about going to the Kandahar Hooter's on Tuesdays for T & A night (toes and aankles), keeping a Burka handy in case our PSD vehicle got hit and we had to e & e across the desert, and whether it was really a woman in the burka, or some bearded Taliban dude with efeminate ankles surreptitiously moving about Kandahar. They did not have a female along to check the Afghan women, so ROE precluded them checking under the skirts. I'm not saying that's how it *should* be, I'm just saying that's how it *is*.
