Back during my long haired dope smoking hippy days, while I was dating a girl who believed in reincarnation, I was just about convinced I was reincarnated from a Thunderchief pilot who crashed and died in Vietnam.
I always had dreams that I was flying those things, even when I was a kid, and I would occasionally crash. I even tried to find out if any pilots were killed in action the day I was born.
Thankfully, that phase passed. It was probably all just something I remembered from seeing some video footage when I was a child. But I still get a little tingly when I see a pic like that….
The paint jobs on the 105s are interesting. The bottom one looks like it is still in stateside SAC colors while the other 3 all have slightly different variations of the same scheme. I always thought they came up with a camo scheme for each aircraft type and then applied that same pattern to each aircraft.

A little tingly is perfectly normal when looking at a picture of a fine aircraft like the F-105 “Thud”.
When you start to get an erection then it’s time to worry.
I’ve only ever had that happen with F-14′s….
