Raising prices to combat lost volume

Post office announces new rate increase

Up two cents to $0.46. Not sure if anyone will notice.

  1. In the private sector when business declines, you cut your prices or you add more features to lure customers away from the competition. In the bizarro world of the US government, you raise your prices.

And to think the US Post Office was used as a model example of a well-run government program during the Obamacare debate.

  2. Are the Simpsons stamps still available? What does that mean for Homer, I meant to get some, the local P.O. even had a Homer poster, but I see they have taken it down.
